Introducing Loquek9: We are a dog training company dedicated to strengthening the bond between owners and their canine companions. Our passion lies in helping both owners and dogs grow a deeper connection through fulfillment and relationship building.

At Loquek9, we utilize the principles of operant conditioning, specifically the 4 quadrants, in our training methods. This approach allows us to effectively shape behaviors and promote positive learning experiences for dogs.

We pride ourselves on our commitment to continuous improvement. Our team is constantly engaged in research and learning, staying up-to-date with the latest and most effective training practices. We understand that every dog is unique, and we tailor our training methods to meet the specific needs of each individual client.

We invite you to meet our trainers and get to know them better. They are passionate professionals who are dedicated to helping dogs and their owners thrive.

Founder & Head Trainer of Loque K9- Kealani Loque

At Loque K9, training is more than just teaching commands—it’s about building trust, understanding, and a strong bond between dog and handler. That philosophy starts with Kealani Loque, our founder and head trainer.

Kealani is a certified Master Dog Trainer, having completed her formal education at Highland K9 School for Dog Trainers in North Carolina. Her time there gave her a strong foundation, but her experience didn’t stop in the classroom. Over the years, she’s worked alongside and learned from multiple seasoned professionals in the dog training world—gaining valuable hands-on insight across everything from pet obedience and behavior modification to working K9s and service dogs.

With over seven years of experience and a passion for helping dogs and their people succeed, Kealani is known for her calm approach, sharp intuition, and ability to meet each dog where they are. Her training style balances structure with fun, and always prioritizes clarity, consistency, and purposeful engagement.

Outside the training field, Kealani lives in the country with her personal service dog, Paka, and her young working dog prospect, Minx. Her lifestyle is built around the outdoors, the working dog world, and a commitment to helping each dog reach its full potential.

Lead Working Dog Trainer: Chris

Chris Nichols, our lead working dog trainer. With a wealth of experience and knowledge, Chris has had the privilege of learning from multiple mentors throughout his journey, adding a valuable contrast to Kealani’s training style.

Chris has over 10 years of hands-on experience working with K9s, and he actively trains multiple personal protection dogs, ensuring their skills are effectively tailored for family life. His training style is exceptionally balanced, prioritizing patience over constant control. By leading through behavior and reinforcement, Chris fosters a supportive and encouraging environment.

Beyond his training expertise, Chris is deeply passionate about building strong relationships between dogs and their handlers. He believes that understanding a dog’s individual needs is the key to unlocking their potential. Whether working with a family pet or a professional working dog, Chris is dedicated to enhancing the bond between canines and their humans.

In his spare time, Chris enjoys exploring the outdoors and engaging in creative projects that challenge his skills. His commitment to continuous learning and improvement reflects his belief that every dog deserves the best care and training possible.
