Welcome to our Services page at LoqueK9. Here, you'll find a wide range of classes designed to cater to the unique needs of you and your dog.

day school

At LoqueK9, we go beyond traditional doggy day care with our Day School program. Designed to provide a structured and enriching environment, our day school offers a unique opportunity for your furry friend to socialize, learn valuable manners, develop body awareness, and master basic obedience skills.

Unlike typical doggy day care centers, our approach focuses on implementing training techniques throughout the day, ensuring that your dog not only has a fun filled time but also experiences mental stimulation and growth. As a result, your beloved companion will not only go home physically exhausted but also mentally fulfilled.

Our curriculum is centered around two key pillars:

• Obedience Training
Dogs participate in foundational obedience throughout the day. We focus on commands like sit, down, heel, stay, and come with a strong emphasis on implied stays, focus, and clarity. Our goal is to help your dog build a solid training foundation that can carry over into the home.

• Play Groups & Individual Time
For dogs that are social and enjoy group interactions, we offer carefully managed playgroups. For those who aren’t ready or suited for group play, we provide one on one enrichment, training, or decompression time tailored to their needs.

Important Notes:

  • Day School is a foundational training program, not intended for service dog work, advanced working dog development, or serious behavioral modification.
  • Dogs with behavioral concerns may be better suited for private sessions to ensure they receive the proper attention and structure.
  • Field trips may be added at the trainer’s discretion at no cost. If requested by the owner, a $25+ fee will apply.

Best Results: We strongly recommend pairing Day School with our Sunday Group Classes to help dogs learn to perform in real-world settings with their owners. While dogs can learn with consistency at home, Day School accelerates their understanding through repetition and trainer-guided structure during the week.

• Day Training Program – Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (By reservation only – limited spots available, please contact us to reserve)

All classes are closed to the public. An evaluation is required prior to participation to meet our trainers and tour the facility.

• $50 per day

Puppy Foundations

Our Puppy Classes are designed to give young dogs the best start in life by focusing on confidence building, appropriate socialization, and clear communication between puppies and their people.

Unlike traditional group classes that rush obedience, we allow puppies to learn at their own pace. Our goal is to raise well-rounded, confident dogs—not just ones that sit on cue. We emphasize developmentally appropriate skills, setting strong foundations that will support future obedience and behavior success.

What to expect:

  • Structured puppy socialization in a safe, managed environment
  • Environmental desensitization to new sounds, surfaces, and stimuli
  • Discussions on engagement, leash pressure, reward timing, and basic communication
  • Introductory obedience using luring and shaping techniques
  • Open time for owners to ask questions about in-home behavior, routines, or challenges

We also start to transition puppies toward dog neutrality, preparing them for our Obedience Group Classes as they grow. This gradual shift helps prevent over-socialization and creates dogs that are confident around others, without overexcitement or reactivity.

After completing the course, individual drop-in classes are also available for continued training

Private sessions

At Loque K9, our private training sessions are fully customized to meet the specific needs of both you and your dog. Whether you’re working on foundational obedience, behavior modification, service dog tasks, or something more specialized, we’re here to support your goals with a dedicated, one on one approach

Our private sessions commonly include:

  • Obedience (beginner to advanced)
  • Behavior modification
  • Service dog training

But training doesn’t stop there if your dog needs something unique, we’re happy to create a plan that fits. From preparing for public access, brushing up handling skills, or working through individual challenges, we tailor each session to your team.

Depending on your goals, we may also recommend pairing private sessions with Day School or our Sunday Group Classes to reinforce progress in different environments.

AKC Canine Good Citizen & Trick Dog Titles

At Loque K9, we’re proud to offer official AKC title testing! As a certified AKC Evaluator, I can assess and title your dog for Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Trick Dog, and other AKC programs.

If you’re interested in pursuing titles, we offer two flexible options

  • Private sessions with a direct focus on preparing for and passing AKC title tests.
  • Group classes, where while the primary focus isn’t on titling, we can tailor portions of your training to help prepare your dog for CGC or Trick Dog titles.

Pricing:

• $85 per hour (price may vary depending on the level of training required)

Our private sessions are already priced below the typical market rate, so we do not currently offer additional discount packages.

Travel Notice:

We do not charge travel fees for clients located in Lincoln, Rocklin, or Roseville.

For locations outside of these areas, a travel fee of $1 per mile (round trip) will be applied.

Breed-Specific Drive Fulfillment Classes
