Day Training
At LoqueK9, we go beyond traditional doggy day care with our Day training program. Designed to provide a structured and enriching environment, our day school offers a unique opportunity for your furry friend to socialize, learn valuable manners, develop body awareness, and master basic obedience skills.
Unlike typical doggy day care centers, our approach focuses on implementing training techniques throughout the day, ensuring that your dog not only has a fun filled time but also experiences mental stimulation and growth. As a result, your beloved companion will not only go home physically exhausted but also mentally fulfilled.
Our curriculum is centered around two key pillars:
• Obedience Training
Dogs participate in foundational obedience throughout the day. We focus on commands like sit, down, heel, stay, and come with a strong emphasis on implied stays, focus, and clarity. Our goal is to help your dog build a solid training foundation that can carry over into the home.
• Play Groups & Individual Time
For dogs that are social and enjoy group interactions, we offer carefully managed playgroups. For those who aren’t ready or suited for group play, we provide one on one enrichment, training, or decompression time tailored to their needs.
Important Notes:
- Day Training is a foundational training program, not intended for service dog work, advanced working dog development, or serious behavioral modification.
- Dogs with behavioral concerns may be better suited for private sessions to ensure they receive the proper attention and structure.
Best Results: We strongly recommend pairing Day School with our group classes to help dogs learn to perform in real world settings with their owners. While dogs can learn with consistency at home, Day training accelerates their understanding through repetition and trainer guided structure during the week.
• Day Training Program – Monday-Friday 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (By reservation only through Ginger portal– limited spots available, please contact us to reserve)
All classes are closed to the public. An evaluation is required prior to participation to meet our trainers and tour the facility.

• $50 per day
Obedience Group Class
The Obedience Group Class is where we review and build on the skills dogs are learning in day training, while helping handlers better understand how and why the training works. This class is the ideal time to slow things down, ask questions, and focus on clarity and consistency as a team.
Our primary goal in this class is to prepare dogs and handlers to successfully pass the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test. The CGC evaluates foundational behaviors such as polite manners, neutrality around people and dogs, handler engagement, and reliability in everyday situations.
Passing the CGC is a required step to progress into our next level class, Public Outings, where these same behaviors are practiced in higher distraction, real world environments.
This class is designed to create confident handlers and dependable dogs setting a strong foundation for advanced training and public access work.
All classes are closed to the public. An evaluation is required prior to participation to meet our trainers and tour the facility.
Pricing
• $20 per dog
This class is highly recommended for all Day Training clients as it helps reinforce skills, generalization, and handler engagement in a group setting.
Day Training Clients Perk:
• Dogs enrolled in Day Training 2x per week receive Obedience Group Class at no additional cost
Public Outings Group class
The Public Outings Group Class is the next step after successfully completing our Obedience Group Class and earning the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) title. This class is designed to take those foundational behaviors and apply them in real-world, public environments with higher levels of distraction.
In this class, dogs and handlers work on calm, controlled behavior in places such as parks, storefronts, and other dog friendly public spaces. The focus is on reliability, neutrality, engagement, and handler confidence outside of a training field.
This group prepares teams for the next level of AKC titles, including:
- AKC CGCA (Advanced Canine Good Citizen)
- AKC CGCU (Urban Canine Good Citizen)
Both titles evaluate a dog’s ability to remain composed and responsive in real life situations, making this class an essential bridge between basic obedience and advanced public access work.
Public Outings are structured, intentional, and progressive. Dogs must demonstrate readiness before attending, as this class is designed to challenge both dog and handler while building confidence, clarity, and real-world reliability.
- $20 per dog, per class
Dogs enrolled in day training two or more times per week may attend group classes at no additional cost.
Class meet-ups and locations are shared privately to enrolled clients via private social media stories. Locations may vary and are chosen intentionally to provide appropriate real-world distractions.
If you’re interested in joining or have questions about eligibility, please contact us directly.

Trail Manners Group Class
The Trail Manners Group Class is an introductory course to hiking, outdoor training, and trail etiquette, designed to prepare teams for safe and structured off leash work in natural environments. This class is a required step before advancing into our Trail Expedition Class.
In Trail Manners, we focus on building reliable communication and safety skills outdoors. Handlers are introduced to e collar use with proper imprinting, emphasizing clarity, timing, and ethical application. Dogs learn to work calmly around other dogs, environmental distractions, and changing outdoor conditions.
Throughout the class, we cover:
- Long-line handling and management
- Recall reliability and engagement outdoors
- Pairing reward markers and verbal cues with low level e collar stimulation in a positive, fair, and purposeful way
- Trail etiquette and safe navigation in shared spaces
This class is designed to create confident, responsive dogs and informed handlers who understand how to safely transition training from controlled environments to the trail.
Successful completion of the Trail Manners Group Class prepares teams for advancement into our Trail Expedition Class, where these skills are tested and applied during full-day hikes in real world settings.
- $20 per dog, per class
Dogs enrolled in day training two or more times per week may attend this class at no additional cost.
Class locations and meet up details are shared privately with enrolled clients via private social media stories. Locations vary and are selected to support real world trail training.

Preparation is essential. Handlers should come ready with:
- Water for both dog and handler

AKC Canine Good Citizen & Trick Dog Titles
At Loque K9, we proudly offer official AKC title testing. As a certified AKC Evaluator, we can assess and title dogs for the Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Trick Dog, and other AKC programs.
For clients pursuing titles, we offer two training paths:
- Group Classes
Our obedience based group classes are structured to prepare dogs for the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test. This option is ideal for teams who want to work toward titles while also benefiting from group distractions, real time feedback, and ongoing progression. - Private Sessions
For dogs that need a more individualized approach, private sessions are available with a direct focus on preparing for and passing AKC title evaluations.
Breed Specific Drive Fulfillment Classes
At Loque K9, we offer Drive Fulfillment & Enrichment Classes designed for high-drive working breeds such as Belgian Malinois, Dutch Shepherds, German Shepherds, Dobermans, and similar dogs. These classes provide a structured outlet for dogs with strong prey or working drives, helping them develop control, focus, and confidence through targeted engagement.
This class is not designed to create protection dogs. Instead, it’s an opportunity for dogs to safely express their instincts in a controlled setting—reducing the likelihood of problematic behaviors at home and improving the dog’s relationship with their handler.
Class Details:
• When: Saturdays at 8:00 AM
• Cost: $40 (covers both working rounds)
• Format: First-come, first-served
• No evaluation or reservation required – This is an open class, and anyone can attend
• Dogs stay in vehicles until their turn
